Yep.
My Alpes Inox cooktop is one of these things designed by an engineer with a real lack of interest in design, and because of that it's really beautiful. When you intend to make something beautiful, you normally fail. But when you try to solve a technical problem in the most innovative way, you often create something beautiful.

Is it the typeface or is the font?
Ever think about the shape of a letter? Every pay attention to the way the lower case j and g droop below the . . . baseline? Ever notice that some letters have little feet (serifs) and some letters don't (sans–serif)? The fact is, examples of typography are everywhere you look but using it indiscriminately can spell pretty awful.
Font refers to one weight, width, and style of a typeface. The typeface you're looking at now is common on the web: it's called “Verdana.”
Webster's Third New International Dictionary traces serif to the Dutch schreef meaning stroke and sans is French for “without.”
